As I get older (70) weight becomes increasingly important in my day-pack as we hunt elk in difficult terrain. The lite weight Havalon and extra blades will replace two large and heavy knives and a sharpener. My partner switched to a Havalon 3yrs ago. For skinning and boning out the meat there's nothing else that compares. Only 4-6 blade changes for a large Bull. Maybe fewer if being more careful.
