Andy Griffith Show: Complete First Season [Blu-ray]

This box set is great . It never ceases to amaze me how Blu Ray HD can pump new life into even an old Black & White TV show. With the HD presentation the material takes on a look where even the sparkle in the actor's eyes can be seen. There are also many great extras in this set,such as the episode of the Danny Thomas show where Andy's character is first seen. You also have the option of playing back the episode with original sponsor materials, where the cast members actually mentioned the sponsor products. This is a charming extra as it is woven into the fabric of the story, in fact I prefer seeing the episodes that way.
