I have used ugly stik rods in the past and always liked them I just recently got into using baitcaster reels so I got a couple of reels for christmas and went searching for poles, I checked out the ugly stik gx2 reviews and ratings and decided to buy it. I luv the sensitivity, but I especially luv the backbone this rod has, dragged in 2 15lb catfish last weekend like they were blue gills.

Bought two; One was fine and one was not!

Ordered two of these; when I opened the packages I found one was perfect and (what I expected from all my many ugly sticks), and on the other the tip section was molded or glued crooked and the rod was not true from tip to handle. The first time I ever was disappointed by an ugly stick product in probably 40+ years.
