Well worth it!

Works so much better than the big, bulky NiCad or Lead-acid based chargers. Only complaint is when it detects the battery if totally dead it puts the charger in a standby mode with a warning light. After reading the manual I found I just have to hold the power button and flashlight button for three seconds and the charger will be ready to use. This seems silly since I have the charger to jump a dead battery. I don’t need the charger to tell me the battery is dead. Also the manual says not to stair these in cold environments, like the trunk of your car during a Michigan winter. So I have to keep it in my house. Still I would buy this again if the price doubled and I needed it. It takes about 10% of the charger’s battery to jump my Chrysler Pacifica. So I don’t even have to recharge the jump pack after each use.

Very impressed!

This is worth every penny, I have the big Titan V8 truck and it needs something more powerful than the cheap 39.$ version. It cranked the dead battery up on 1st try and it only used 7% of the charger. I was very impressed, to say the least. If you are thinking about getting one get this one.

Great product - poor logistics

The Hulkman Alpha 8.5 jump starter is a fantastic product. Quality and attention to detail is super. Even though buyers may think they are saving a few dollars buying from Walmart.com third party “Pro Sellers”, I was shocked that my item was shipped with only plastic shrink wrap around Hulkman original packaging. Coming from west coast to east coast with many stops along the way, package takes a beating. I would like to see better protection added along with items placed inside of Walmart.com boxes.
