High quality item, about as good as there is. Sangean in Taiwan makes some of the best radios in the world. This model is beautifully made, with superb reception, useful presents, and a far better tonal quality than its size would suggest. A real premium item and at a bargain price.

This radio is the best available for the price. Presets are handy and once you've chosen a station the screen reverts to the time- unlike other radios in this price range. This is our second PR-D18, the first was left out in the rain after a few years of faithful use. I purchased other radios locally but none had the performance and features - and quality. Was happy to wait 2 days and get a GOOD radio again. We use it outside and it stood up to sun, heat, cold and dust - just not Water. It can use a lot of batteries but as long as you change them before the radio is dead it will retain its presets and time setting. Love this radio- a vanishing commodity.
