Merry Collection Four-Light Polished Chrome and Etched Glass Transitional Style Bath Vanity Wall Light

I needed to add an additional light to my downstairs bathroom/washroom. While there are 3 in there, it still seemed really dark. I decided that this vanity-style light would work perfectly over the mirror, and it contained 4 lights, which would be more than enough when combined with the others! The summary is: It's a very attractive looking light, and installation is surprisingly simple. Since there's not a whole lot to discuss when it comes to functionality for this sort of product, I'll focus on the quality and the installation in particular. Quality: As mentioned, this is a really attractive looking light. When opening the box and inspecting the fixture, the metal felt a bit "light" in the hand. Like, it's made out of pretty thin metal. I saw some complaints about this before choosing this fixture as well, but I must say that it utterly doesn't matter! It's WAY more than sturdy enough to serve it's purpose, and the looks are great. It's basically only during installation or removal that one will know what gauge of metal it's made out of. Sooo, yes. Quality is definitely sufficient. Installation: It's pretty self-explanatory, but in case it's not, the instructions are surprisingly good. While I've installed a couple of light fixtures before, I hadn't ever installed a vanity-style light before. I feared that it would take 2 people in order to hold it in position and drill the necessary holes. Luckily, this product is really well though through from that perspective. Instead of having to hold the whole thing up, you simply screw a thin and light base plate to the wall, and then the primary part of the fixture attaches to the base with 2 decorative nuts. It was easy enough to hold the base plate up there myself, mark the 2 holes, then drill and mount. Conveniently, it comes with 2 toggle bolts and a few wire nuts, which is literally all it takes to install it. I don't _love_ this style of toggle bolt, but it works and is a pretty standard way of doing it. you just drill (or stab, even) 2 holes in the drywall, then insert the toggle bolts. You've gotta be careful not to drop it into the wall while attaching the base--that was the only difficulty. After it's up on the wall, it's as simple as attaching the fixture's wires to the wires coming out of the wall with the wire nuts. If you're putting the light in a new location (like me), you will have to install an electrical junction box behind the light first, so keep this in mind if it's not the kind of thing that you do yourself. So yeah, overall, if you need a vanity light and like the looks of this one, you won't be disappointed. It looks very elegant and is easy to install.
