cute little magic set for younger kids

I bought this magic set for my 6 year old since we were buying a larger set for my soon to be 8 year old. I wanted a set that would have tricks easy enough for my 6 year old to do and this magic set has just that. He opened it on Christmas day and that same day was already doing 4 little tricks for us. Great for small/younger kids!!!

This one is a big win!

My 6 year old recipient opened this on Christmas morning and put aside every other gift...even his remote control fire truck!!!! Within minutes, yep, minutes, he had mastered the sword trick and the string trick. This is a kid who has no patience with learning new things (clinically); we didn't have to coax him through. Now that's success! Laughably, the only issue was that he couldn't keep the secret of how the tricks work! At 6, I think he may grow out of this set soon. Count on Melissa & Doug to have a deluxe set with a number of more difficult challenges. I would absolutely recommend this for children 4 - 6 years...I am a retired early childhood educator with 30+ years experience.
