1525TM software is waste

I have been Tomtom VIA 1505M user for last 6 years. We loved the simplicity and software menu. We needed new since last one stopped working. The only extra thing I was looking in new equipment was realtime traffic. We wanted something similar, and went back again with tomtom and choose 1525TM. But compared to old model VIA 1505M , the new model 1525TM is waste. Few notes 1. In old model, we touch any place and menu pops up. However, in new there is very small area, which needs to be touch to get menu. While I am driving and want to change the destination, it will need more concentration on GPS operation. This is negative point 2. The old model use to give me option, each time I put address, if I want to select toll road or no-toll road. But new model doesn't ask the same. I tried all the setting without success. This is negative point. 3. The old model would show me split of road in visual in big form on screen. However the new model would not have similar visual, just arrow directions. This is negative point. 4. The old model would represent road in bold-wider line on map. The new model has very thin line in comparison. This is negative point. 5. Performance/response time is twice as slow in comparison. I understand there might be additional software with the new model, but still the performance is big cost, especially if we miss some exit and need quick re-adjustment. I also felt the map/direction of new was no better than the old model, rather inferior. After all these considering together, I want to go back to the old model, or other, instead of Tomtom 1525TM .

Wasn't a good purchase

I had the tomtom 1535 and had been spoiled. This new one is very frustrating in that it is NOT user friendly due to everything "hidden" in "menu" subfolders. It couldn't find "names" of places to go - I.e. "Shenks Ferry wildflower preserves" in Lancaster pa and is slow once you hit the menu button to begin a trip. I couldn't figure out how to saved "my location" so I didn't have to type in the address when it wasn't spot on in Google maps. I missed the window of returning it, kinda frustrates me as I thought I had thirty (30) days - but this is my fault for not using it sooner. Sorry but I do not recommend this product especially if you know what the speed next to dial up is like or if you want ease in use.
