Arches sets the standard for watercolor paper, and the rough texture is perfect for landscapes featuring trees, water of skies. The pads are significantly cheaper than the blocks, and, at 10"x14", these sheets are large enough to develop and interesting painting.

Arches Hot Press watercolor paper is the most recommended paper for loose watercolor Painting and I cannot wait to use it. I've seen it used many times and have no doubt about its quality. It came through the postal mail; mine arrived in good condition. It is pricey, but if it gives you the results that you need in loose watercolor Painting, then it's worth it.
