I recently began a low sodium diet. I needed safe salt-free snacks. These are not treated with sulfur like most dried apricots on the market, which tend to effect my asthma. They have a sweeter taste, like dried figs. You need to keep the opened bag in the refrigerator, but I like to keep a few with me in a plastic zip bag at room temperature, for softer munching. I've cut them up and added them to a favorite recipe for Brussels's sprouts and orange zest sauteed in EVO. now I don't need to add any brown sugar to that dish.
