KEEN Women's Voyageur Mid Boot

I bought a pair of these about five years ago when I was planning to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, and they have been the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned! I wear them almost every day, and I call them my mountain goat boots because when I wear them, the traction is so good that I feel like I can hike anywhere. I finally wore down enough tread and the inside heel enough to where I decided I should get another pair, but the beautiful burgundy/brown leather color option doesn't seem to be available anymore, which is sad because that made the shoes both beautiful and comfortable. I decided to try a different keen boot this time since they didn't have the color option I wanted, but I bet if I ever find them like that again, I will get them, whether I need them or not... maybe two pairs, just to stock up in case this happens again. For those of you reading this review, I hope the quality didn't change when they changed the color.

Great, custom-like fit for wide feet/narrow heels. Nice arch contact without pushing up uncomfortably. The flex in the forefoot feels very natural when walking. Love the round toe, real cute for a hiker shoe. I usually wear a size 7, but the 7.5 is just right. Only thing about this hi top is that it comes up as bit too high at the ankle area for me. I'm trying the low version, too, to see if I like it better.
