Description: Carnauba Wax – T1, a vegetable wax harvested from the leaves of the Brazilian palm tree, Copernicia cerifera. Carnauba wax is produced and sold in different grades, with T1 being the highest quality and purity available. The T1 grade of carnauba wax is lighter in color compared to other grades in the industry. It is a hard brittle wax known as the hardest natural wax, available in small flake form. It has a high melting point.

Appearance: Brittle yellowish brown solid flakes with light characteristic aroma.
Common Uses: Organic Carnauba Wax comes in the form of hard yellow flakes and is widely used in cosmetics as an emulsifier or as a thickening agent for lipstick, eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, foundation, deodorant, and sun care preparations. Carnauba Wax is the hardest natural wax and has lustrous composition making it the leading choice for ointments, pharmaceuticals (tablet coatings), candles and polishes. Carnauba wax is often combined with other waxes to create industrial polishes and finishes.
Compatibility: Carnauba Wax is compatible with most animal, vegetable and mineral waxes and a large variety of natural and synthetic resins. A temperature of 172 degrees Fahrenheit (78 degrees Celsius) is required to melt carnauba wax.
