Good horn but very fragile

Much better than a compressed air horn, since the plunger controls the sound blast very well. This horn is just too fragile to keep where it has to be quickly accessible and may be dropped, crushed or inadvertently bumped. Thus, after 2 or 3 months of occasional use it broke at the shaft very close to the base of the horn. This is the weakest point. This break was repairable. I used epoxy, Gorrila glue, a rubber washer spacer and a hose clamp to hold the broken horn base in place with support from the cylinder. After dropping several times the broken shaft held. Now another failure has occured. The silver membrane at the base of the horn doesn't allow air to pass, unless the membrane is slightly bent with a pencil point, and the horn is silent no matter how hard the plunger is pressed. Air just doesn't flow. Now 6 months in all the 3rd successful repair to this same fragile junction holding. Some thing may have happened internal to the horn base that may be beyond the skill of a hobbiest to repair Had it lasted 2 years would have been a good buy.
