A nice modern looking vent

This fan is great for freezing the bathroom!
Landlord installed this fan so I don't have access to wiring. Who in their right mind manufactures a fan that cannot be turned off when the light is off?? The delay dial does nothing, and even if it did, I do not want minimum 5 minutes delay. I need it to stop as soon as I turn off the light. Does Broan understand that there are people who live in extremely cold places, and fans like these are making the toilet virtually unusable, e.g. when the small kids need to take a bath or shower in the evening or early in the morning. So much extra heat is required because of this brilliant design, and even then it's freezing when you leave the tub! My fan didn't even have a separate fuse on the main board so I short circuited the wires and stopped it for good that way. No exhaust pains me less than the constant freezing.
We are very disappointed to learn of your experience with the ZB110 ventilation fan. This fan is designed to provide 24/7 continuous ventilation to the home. The Broan® ZB80 has been specifically designed to meet both spot and continuous ventilation needs for various building codes and green building standards. There is normally one switch which is a master ON/OFF that would stay in the ON position, unless you want to turn the fan OFF. The second switch is the mode switch which would turn the fan onto the high speed. When the second switch is turned off, the fan will continue to run on the high speed for the preset selected time (5-60 minutes), and then return back to the preset low speed. If the master switch is OFF the unit is completely OFF. We recommend contacting your landlord to see how this unit was wired and if it was wired to a master and a second switch.
