You Must Try NT01

Ran the NT01 on the SoCal streets, autocross, and on track. It really brings out what Miata is supposed to be about. And the factory turbo Mazdaspeed doesn't make that much power, but the tire handled acceleration/deceleration as well as lateral load. You'll never know what Miatas can do if you don't every try this level of traction.

Porsche 930 EFI

With 560whp and limited room for wide tires, the NT01 was the optimal street/track tire option. P315/35ZR17's in the rear and 245/45/17's in front. The tire performed predictably right up to and beyond the adhesion limit on the track. Tread wear seems to be very good, especially considering the prodigious traction. Firm sidewalls yield precise steering and transitions. There's noticeable tread noise compared to a high performance summer street tire: A small sacrifice for the dramatic performance gap over a super high performance street tire. If you're looking for track tire performance for the street and/or track, these are the ticket.

Z06 (C6) Corvette

Best tire in it's price range. It can outperform my driving ability. So I'm VERY happy that Nitto brought this tire to the market place. Their NT-05 is a good tire in it's price range as well and is what I compare it too. I also have tried the Michelin's but, I do not compare because of the price difference. Nitto makes tires that perform well in their price range and either equal or higher performing than my driving ability. I have noticed that the lateral G's are good, and are good for the price. I am a Nitto fan because they make tires that are not budget busting and offer a excellent bang for the buck (especially the Invo's). Thanks Nitto
