Not only does it complete a streamlined look, it helps with that first step out of vehicle, as well as shorter people entering. Upon exiting, you're not always crushing the side seat bolster as you exit. One wish would be to have them extend out another inch. Love the heavy-duty rubber grips -- not cheap plastic! Only downside was that my installation required removing underbody covers along each side to access mounting areas. I didn't feel like jacking up car and putting on stands, so took it to my local mechanic who put it on lift and did it form me. Took a little over an hour.
