Shake 'N Bake Seasoned Panko Seasoned Coating Mix, 3.8 oz Box, 2 ct Packets

I used to be a major fan of the BBQ Shake and Bake recipe from the 1980s and 1990s and even into the 2000s. However, after buying my latest back of this "new" version, I have to say I am severely disappointed in the product. The mix doesn't stick as well and it comes out more like a breading than an actual glaze. I am aware that a common response is that this new product tested well. However, one has to remember that testing in a small product group doesn't generate any meaningful real-world results, especially when attempting to change an established product. New Coke also tested well but was a major disaster for the company when sold in stores. While not on the same scale, this feels like a similar situation to me. I loved the gooey product that the old mixture produced. A true glaze. Not sure what made the test group like this, but it appears to me it was a poor market sample and didn't consider the emotional attachment that people have to their products. It might have been a wiser option to release the current not really a glaze as BBQ Breading and slowly discontinue the original glaze if the market really didn't want it.

Sadly Kraft you have lost your ways, whoever tasted this and put it on the market needs to really go back to the roots of the product! Anyone who grew up in the 70s 80s or even 90s this was one of the most amazing products of the Kraft food line, however sadly, its went way and I mean way downhill. There is nothing good that can be said about the what's called "NEW TASTE" of this product. Some of the best times of BBQ Shake n Bake as well as one of what I also think was one of their other best glazes that is no longer made were during those years. Please bring back the actual Glaze and Tangy Honey while you're at it.
