It arrived well packed. I read other reviews that said to "air it out first" - probably because there was a varnish/finishing smell to it. I did for a few days in my garage and have had no issues with the smell. It is heavy as it is made of wood. It is carved beautifully and the color is as pictured.

Beautiful!
This is gorgeous! Pictures don't do it justice, and the pics are pretty good! It is heavy - just be mindful of that. Definitely not something you want to have to move around a lot. It does have the smell of wood stain when first out of the box, so having a place to let it "breathe" before using is a good idea. I've gotten so many compliments on it already - I'm using it as a backdrop for all my work video calls, to hide the rest of my office/spare room/things-we-don't-know-what-to-do-with. Definitely recommend!
