I Love This Watch

Just received my Timex M79 and I love it. It's exactly what I was looking for, classic Timex from a previous era. Looks much more expensive than it actually is and the 40mm size is perfect for my wrist. I adjusted the strap and haven't had any issues with pinched arm hair. There are more expensive watches out there, but that isn't what I wanted. I wanted this one and I'm very pleased with it. I think it's awesome that Timex introduced these watches. I couldn't afford a watch of this style back when they originally came out in the late ‘70s early ‘80s, but now I got one. I'm going to pick up one of the Q series next.

Pretty good...

Nice looking diver inspired style. I like the all black colorway, dark day/date window and red second hand. The easily adjustable bracelet looks great. It does slightly pull hair for me but not an issue. I agree that the clasp is not super secure however if ensure is seated properly I think it is OK. Would prefer hacking however the minute hand is easily adjustable to be spot on with the markers and I do just usually just look for the time via the minute hand position only anyway. The Miyota 8205 is not top shelf however appears is keeping well within the +/- specs. 40 hour reserve is satisfactory given can also hand wind if need be. Bezel works OK with no out if place movement. I do tend to agree with most about the price. Full retail seems a bit high given acrylic crystal and 50m. Check for sales, can often get it for at least 15 per cent off. Was easy enough process to buy on this site. Delivery via DHL was fast and efficient.
