Grohe 28 623 Adjustable Wall Mounted Hand Shower Holder - Chrome

Im an architect, and love the way this holds a hand-held shower, allowing it to rotate in all directions, and be hung up and removed very easily (it's not as fussy as others that need more careful feeding of the hose through the holder. BUT, the mounting plate has two screws into the wall, then a set screw for attaching the holder. This creates a "joint" that inevitably gets loose. The plastic holder body (yes, it's not metal) always feels like it's going to break off or fall off the wall. I've specified this for clients, then got one for my own home addition, and am not impressed for a $100 wall hook. It could easily have been designed so that the hand-held unit was cradled directly in front of the mounting plate to eliminate the "lever arm" that results from this offset design.
