Some wines really are better if placed in a decanter/carafe for an hour or more, especially some of the "better rated" vintages. The "duck shape" decanter is the perfect design to allow a wine to breathe while also "balancing" tannins and acidity of the wine for a fuller, smoother wine drinking experience. I highly recommended this decanter/carafe.
