beefstick surf rod

good looking rod, medium heavy action is more on the heavy side which is good for me in the hatteras surf . If anyone can find a better rod for 18 bucks please let me know wish they had 12 foot model I would sure by it.great value

Why I use a 9 foot "Beefstick".

I use my 9 foot "Beefstick" for bank fishing for catfish. It will cast a three ounce sinker a very long ways. As a matter of fact this nine foot rod will cast as far as some 12 foot rods of other brands. The ceramic inserts protect the guides from the braided line. It has handled catfish up to 30+ pounds. I will be getting another one before next season.
