Good Stuff

Upgrading to this from a GT 730 resulted in frame rates much higher than anticipated even after researching about what one might expect. I only use fanless passively-cooled video cards here. This card only needs about 30 watts, almost 40% less power than the previous card, yet with the one 3D video game here which could benefit from the upgrade: the FPS is easily 4 times as high or more. This desktop now uses about 80W, probably less, and has acceptable gaming performance IMO. Asus often has terrible software. I didn't trust them enough to install their utilities, considering that this card isn't their flagship product. Similar cards from other people besides Asus might have an advantage in that way or others, but this one was cheap and I generally trust Asus to make hardware which performs. This card does get hot, 90 C is probably the point where it would shut down if it reached that. That's OK though, there's no AMD here, so it will not start a fire or anything.

This was a great choice

Plays planetside 2 absolutely fine on high settings! Skyrim special edition on nearly ultra settings at 50+ FPS. For the amount of power it uses I'm absolutely satisfied and then some :) I would not think twice about buying this again. It is on the same performance level as the GTX 750 ti which I sold before this.
