The 7023 Square Ring Cage Lock 1 Inch Stainless Steel from M&M Bird Toys is a durable, versatile, long lasting, pet safe bird cage lock. Cage locks are typically used to keep bird cage doors shut from the outside. These locks have jaws the are spring loaded and grooved so as to slide past each other. The large finger lever on the lock makes it easy to open with one hand. The lock is made from high quality stainless steel making it completely bird safe. To keep bird cage doors shut, clamp the lock jaws around a bar on the door and a bar on the cage itself from the outside of the cage. When locked like this pet birds cannot open the lock when inside the cage. This lock can be used in a wide variety of different applications as well. On the back of the lock there is a (1) inch wide square key ring. This key ring connects to the clamp portion via a forged nub.
