Although one (1) of the six containers arrived broken, Walmart issued me a prorated refund for the one that was damaged and I greatly appreciated that. It's difficult to ship plastic totes without some damage--the wounded soldier was the one on the very bottom of the stack. One lid also got cracked--it was the one attached to the stack of containers. For typical use of these totes, I don't anticipate any issues with cracks--those were the result of a rough journey being transported to my doorstep. I don't imagine any scenario where I will be tossing or dropping loaded totes, thus inflicting the same impact they experienced in their transit. Aside from that----- the totes themselves are sturdy feeling and have a solid *click* sound when the lid latches on to each handle of the tote. The lids are a nice tan/taupe color. The tote itself is clear. The plastic is thick and feels rather durable. The indents on the lids and the shape of the tote bases make for sound stacking. I bought these to mouse-proof some linens in our camper-school-bus and I feel confident they have tight seals to keep the critters out!
