Harris Seeds Trinidad Scorpion Pepper is a Non-GMO hot pepper variety valued for its intense heat and unique fruit shape. The compact pods typically measure about 2 inches long and 2½ inches wide, with smooth skin and occasional tail-like tips that give the pepper its name. Fruits mature to a bright red color and are often selected for specialty culinary applications. This pepper variety is frequently used in hot sauces, salsas, and recipes where concentrated heat is desired. Due to its strong heat level, care should be taken when handling the fruit, including the use of gloves and protective gear as needed. For best results, start seeds indoors in early spring, approximately eight weeks before warm nighttime temperatures. Maintain consistent moisture and warm soil during germination. Transplant outdoors after seedlings are established and nighttime temperatures remain warm. Harvest peppers when fully red.
