McCormick Kosher Fine Garlic Powder, 21.0 oz Bottle

I am an ultra-cheap cook. Meaning, there is nearly nothing I will upgrade to named brand items. This is one of those exceptions! It is not just the brand that makes it worth buying, it is the grind. This is a true fine ground powder with nothing but pure flavor. I buy the bigger bottle and filler a smaller one from it. It has been, remains and will likely continue to ever be my garlic powder of 1st choice. All that said, there is one problem. Getting it all wet at once will cause it to clump. You are better to sprinkle it across the food to mix it in and do it more than once if using a lot. Another successful mixing method is to combine it with other spices first, which breaks up the clumping action. The hydrophilic aspect of the fine powder is also why I use smaller bottles, it is very steam sensitive and will clump in the big bottle before I manage to use it all. In short, be aware that this powder loves moisture a lot, but I have found no better garlic powder to deliver the garlic flavor and nuances that this one will bring.
