Radio sound is excellent. I was disappointed in the CD sound. But I was expecting the same CD sound as on a very expensive player. The CD player is still is very good. Very easy to use. Have not battery operated the radio yet. Bottom line - am very satisfied with the value and quality of this radio.

I got this for mom who has very limited vision. The raised tuning and VOLUMN nobs are so helpful! The sound's not too bad for a rockin 93 yr old! The only problem for her is operating the CD, off, radio switch but her tactile response is low.
