I ordered the set for my living room, actually! I had a spot that used to house a toddler table and chair set; next the space housed a big kid set, and now we have moved on to needing a really big grandson/kid set, so I sized up again! It works perfectly and looks subtle, not at all like a patio set that belongs outdoors. Since I usually balance my own meals on the couch, I've now begun to enjoy sitting at the table instead. What a concept! My only issue with the set is this -- 60 years ago when I was in a high school typing class, our instructor taught us to sit on the edge of the chair with our feet flat on the floor. Well -- 60 years later, that's still how I tend to sit in a chair. Even now as I sit at my desktop computer, I'm on the edge of the chair! It is only when I'm spending a long time relaxing that I'll sit back. That being said and what it has to do with this set is this -- the seats of the chairs tend to have a slight backward slope, making it almost impossible to sit on the edge. I have to sit back quite a bit and find it an awkward sitting position. For most people, however, it is probably the perfect fit! Since I'm not in the chair very long, I don't have an issue with the comfort of the seat bottom. I did put a pillow on the back, but because it was kind of small, you can see that it would be likely to fall through, and of course, it does. The table is the perfect size and height. Putting it together was a breeze -- Take it out of the box and unwrap the cardboard and push the parts open. I really do like this little, sturdy set. I have to tell you, though, that I purchased it on 11 April and now, just two weeks later, the price has increased by about $40! I guess we're getting too far into Spring and who the heck would buy this for their living room and not outside! BTW, it is made to work outside! I think you'll really like it!
