Very sleek dress watch

I love the grant collection. It is a very classy and sleek line design and this watch is no exception. I love the roman numerals and the simplicity of it. It's not bulky or super heavy. I read a couple reviews that complained about the weight and bulkiness but I happen to think the watch face is actually on the slimmer and lighter side compared to some watches out there. The only thing I wish was included was a date dial. We probably don't need all three of those dials in the center. No one uses them anyway. Take one of them out and put in a date dial and youll have a complete watch. I think everyone could use that. This wasn't a deal breaker for me because let's face it, everyone has a phone that is just inside their pocket. This watch goes especially well with suits but also can be dressed down to casual. Absolutely love it

What the little dials do and 9 is "IX"

I want to thank watchlover14 for explaining what the middle and left inset dials did and how they work. I love this watch especially since I now know use it fully. To reiterate, the middle dial is a second timer and the left dial is a minute timer. Press the top button to start the count and again to stop it. Once stopped, press the bottom button to reset the timer. To set the timer to zero, you pull out the crown and hold down the top button (go forward) or bottom button (go backward) then spin the crown which causes the small hands to spin freely. Release the button once the small dials are lined up with "30" (left) and "60" (middle). If you miss zero then one press of the top button will advance 1 second and the bottom button will go back 1 second. Also, a previous reviewer claimed the 9 was actually the Roman numeral "IV". That is wrong. It is "IX" however the left inset dial cuts the "IX" off midway making it look like a "IV". It is merely coincidence that the top half of an "X" looks like a "V". The description even states the inset dials cut off the numerals, "...we also layered the sub-eyes over the numerals, which gives them the effect of being cut off.".

Watchwearer - Review unbased in fact.

I'm a casual wearer of watches and almost didn't purchase the watch because of "Watchwearer's" previous review citing the "IIII" being an error in manufacturing. Upon doing a bit of research, I found that many watch and clock makers have used "IIII" as the roman numeral for "4" for many, many years and is considered an acceptable and recognized practice. If you quickly Google a watchmaker who charges $1,000's for their watches, you'll also see the "IIII" for 4 on their timepieces as well. Glad I didn't heed the inaccurate review and am excited about my purchase!
