Good but pricey

Pike Place is excellent when mixed with milk or cream. Drinking it without something to take the bitterness out of it is an unpleasant experience. Taste-wise, it's not impressive. Veranda has a better taste and more of a caffeine kick. Pike Place smells good when it's being poured. It doesn't taste like a premium coffee. I think are better coffees out there, but lack the Starbucks name. In other words, what I'm trying to say is Pike Place is overrated. Good coffee, but not worth the $20 I paid for it.

I find this is cheaper than buying directly from Starbucks. I prefer the blonde roast because it's not as bitter. I am not a coffee snob, but this coffee is great for me. I make it in my pour over coffee carafe.

I've been drinking Pike Place roast for years, and started having indigestion issues.i switched to Veranda and am no longer having issues! Plus it has a bolder taste even though it's a light roast.
