Description: Sacha Inchi oil is obtained from the seeds of the Sacha Inchi plant, which were known as the “super food” of the ancient Incas. No additives or preservatives are required to maintain the freshness or stability of the oil, as Antioxidants (Vitamins A and E) help to preserve the integrity of the product. Sacha Inchi oil is extracted at low temperatures through the cold press process, which does not use chemicals or solvents.

Aromatic Description: Sacha Inchi Oil Refined has very little scent characteristic of most carrier oils.

Common Uses: Sacha Inchi oil is one of the richest vegetable sources of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), namely Alfa-linolenic acid (Omega 3), Linolenic acid (Omega 6), and Oleic acid (Omega 9), which helps to protect the skin's moisture barrier. Its high antioxidant and skin smoothing properties make Sacha Inchi oil ideal for use in formulations meant for mature skin, as well as in moisturizing creams and lotions meant to soothe dry, irritated skin, and to repair damaged hair.

Consistency: It has typical the characteristics of most carrier oils.

Absorption: Its light and absorbs quickly into the skin, without the oily feel.

Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of up to 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

Storage: It is recommended that cold-pressed carrier oils be kept in a cool, dark place to maintain freshness and achieve maximum shelf life. If refrigerated, bring to room temperature before using.
