The Accumulair Diamond is one of the highest efficiency filters on the market, with a MERV 13 rating. It removes particulates measuring from 0.3 microns to 1.0 microns, including dust mites, particles, mold spores, pet dander, pollen, tobacco smoke, some viruses, and all bacteria. The filter uses electrostatic filtration and has a dust spot efficiency of 89-90%. It is more than 30 times more efficient than regular fiberglass filters and has a filter efficiency almost equivalent to a true HEPA filter.

Construction The Accumulair Diamond is specifically designed to achieve points towards LEED certification. It is made of 100% high performance Tribo-Electric synthetic media, which creates higher efficiency with low resistance to air flow. The fibers are hydrophobic, meaning they will not absorb moisture or support the growth of harmful microbes. The pleated shape of the filter maximizes air flow and particle-holding capacity. The filter is laminated to a recyclable, galvanized, and corrosion resistant metal backing, and bonded to a heavy duty, moisture resistant, clay coated board frame with diagonal and horizontal grid supports.
