Lots of light %26 excellent fan functions.
Picked up this light/fan combo for the guest room, which was a little dim and stuffy. The fan/light fixed both problems. It looks great -- way better than I expected for the cost. Overall 4/5 stars because of some build issues. The light can get very bright and dims easily. If you turn the light off using the remote, it remembers the light temperature you were using. If you use the wall switch, it resets to the middle temp. Minus 0.5 star. Installation was a major chore. The mounting bracket is designed so that you do not need a fan electrical box in the ceiling - you can mount to a drywall ceiling using screws. However, there are holes in the bracket that SHOULD line up with a standard ceiling fan box so you can use one if it's already there. Nope, you can use one screw through the fan box but the other screws have to go into the ceiling. I didn't have a drill bit that could go through metal so I couldn't just add my own screw hole. Second installation issue is that the mounting bracket is so close to the ceiling that you can't get the fan attached to the bracket. I had to loosen the bracket a bit so it could drop down away from the ceiling, remove all the mounting screws, then angle the screws into the holes and straighten things up once the threads caught. There was cursing. Third issue is that there is no ground wire on the fan. I attached the power line ground wire to the metal casing around the motor. Minus 0.5 stars for safety.
