Microwave on high for 1 minute 30 seconds; stir. Microwave ovens vary in power, cooking times may need to be adjusted. For thicker grits, decrease liquid; for thinner grits increase liquid. I am not usually one for instant grits, but this is my go to flavor when time constraints lead me to use instant grits. I generally toss in some plain grits to increase the amount and cut the spice a bit (makes it a bit more mild) and then cook it a bit longer. Some shredded cheese on top and maybe some green onion or black olives and you have a delicious and quick meal.

just the right amount of heat in these grits! love the taste of the fresh jalapenos that have been ground in and they use just the right amount to bring out the proper amount of heat and flavor usually it's one of the other but this has both combined and that is so wonderful I will continue to buy these again and again
