As a formerly homeless, recently rehoused senior currently without a car nor an income and with two dogs to feed, both rescues from neglected origins, being able to marshal the necessary resources to best meet their needs were paramount factors in my decision to purchase this item, in this way, in this size and at this price point. My Cane Corso mix is not quite a year old and technically still a puppy. She has food insecurities and is voracious, still growing, and will wolf down anything put before her. And my Italian Greyhound mix, all of twenty pounds soaking wet, is a spoiled little princess, who, I was told, was weaned on table scraps and fast food and is extremely picky as to what constitutes acceptable cuisine especially, oddly enough, when it comes to anything designated as a premium dog food. She prefers the cheap stuff! So it had to be cheap, plentifull and delivered. And Walmart (and Lenin, the delivery driver, well done sir!) came through in spades!

I actually don't buy this for my dog (I make him homemade food using ckn breasts, carrots, broccoli, green beans, %26 squash in the crockpot). I feed 2 raccoons %26 1 opossum that comes up to my house to eat. This is the cheapest food to purchase %26 they love it! They get 3 large scoops a night %26 they eat every single crumb of it!! Sometimes I throw in other stuff like popcorn, cookies, PB sandwich, wet dog food, peanuts, %26 any leftovers I may have that they can eat. I purchased the last bag on 6/7 %26 today is 6/24 %26 I'm already having to purchase another 46lb bag bc they are almost out!! These guys are pigs!! If I put less food in it they try very hard to break into the bins I have my dog's food in. So far they haven't gotten it open but they drug it all the way in the yard trying to get it open! Anyways this food is raccoon %26 opossum approved too!!!
