Great in chili.

I wash %26 pre soak beans. Easily prepared in slow cooker or pressure cooker until tender. This is my go to bean for copy cat Wendy's chili. I get to control sodium, fat %26 heat for healthier dish. I purchased on sale and grab an extra bag so I have a spare for next time. Yummm….

I love cranberry beans (most dried beans actually!), but the 1%23 bag is not available through my online cart. I'm so thankful that I found this package for shipment! I cook them %26 a piece of smoked seasoning meat, in a pressure cooker, on High, for 35 minutes (no soaking!) %26 they're perfect! They probably could cook a bit less, but because I lost my teeth in a fall, I have to have my food very soft! 35 minutes for unsoaked dried beans? That's not bad! ;-) I also use extra water so that I have plenty of "pot likker" to eat w/ cornbread! There are so many ways to season them, too! They are rather mild in taste, kinda like Pintos, %26 take on the flavor of what they're cooked w/. I usually fix them like I wrote above, Southern style, but they're good w/ Southwest seasoning, %26 would be good in chili or posole. I don't do much Global cooking, but I think they'd be great in a French Cassoulet, ot Italian Pasta Fagioli or other exotic recipes.

Took a chance, glad I did…

I never had these beans before so I got adventurous and got a bag. OMGeee they are good. I love them in beans %26 rice. The color fades once they're cooked but the flavor is there. I soaked mine overnight because I was too lazy to whip out the pressure cooker. If you are trying to save some money and try different way to incorporate other forms of protein or fiber into your meals, give these a try. Toss them in soup, whatever they aren't lima bean yucky.
