I bought this for my secondary classroom. I was a little apprehensive because I know how much wear and tear students can be on pencil sharpeners. However, it worked without a hitch for months. There was a time when it overheated from a day of too much use, but once we left it alone for a couple of hours it worked great again. It sharpens to a point, not just to reveal a little bit of lead/graphite. However, it was knocked off the table by a student in April and it doesn't work now. It makes a whirring noise like its trying to turn the mechanism but something is in its way. I'm looking to replace the sharpening mechanism. Well worth it.
