Great Nail Gun - Two Thumbs Up

I bought this gun to do the framing for a large deck (640 sq ft) and a master bedroom remodel. I used galvanized nails on the deck and regular nails on the bedroom. I was shooting 3 ¼" nails on both. By setting it to level 2 and adjusting the setting it drove nails into dry pressure treated with no problem. In fact, I had to use the adjustment because it was driving them too deep initially. Anyway the gun works great. I used either 4 amp or 5 amp batteries. I gave my pneumatic framing nailer to my son. I also have a Dewalt finish nailer and it works great too. I am now freed from the compressor hose and it feels great.

Great gun, saves so much time.

Like the idea of not pounding with a hammer anymore, the gun gets nails in tight places & get the job done quick. Drives 3 " nails with no problem. Even for small jobs I would not be without it. Love it.

The Best for Pickup Framing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Am I ready to ditch my air compressor and pneumatic nail guns? Not yet, but the more I use the DCN692, the more I appreciate the hassle free portability. It is a great tool for pickup framing work, and it really can do just about anything that a traditional pneumatic nail gun can do. On our jobsites today, there is one less air hose strung about. My only complaint (and it's a minor one) is the ramp up time in sequential mode takes a little getting used to – but it's a small price to pay vs lugging a compressor and hose out for every job. Great tool.
