worked fine, but slightly worried about durability

Just received it today, so I cannot speak to its durability. It was easy to assemble, and it actually opened a 23 oz (prepper) can with a little guidance. I haven't yet used it on normal pantry cans. It is made of plastic... I think the only things on it that are metal is the blade assembly, but not the handle. I hope it holds up. What I did NOT like about it is that its electric cable is only a foot long, so you have to site it close to an outlet on your counterspace, Or else run an extension cord....

Requires very little counter space, I again am able to open cans. The old hand operated can openers, even the nice ones were non functional for my hands. The Cuisinart electric can open is so sassy to operate and clean, wish I was able to get one sooner.

Smooth sailing/opening

The difference between my old can opener and this CuisinArt can opener is remarkable! So smooth, easy to operate. My old one kept kicking the can, lol, off the cutting blade. Not sure what that was about. I tried cleaning it up etc. and it seemed like it was better but the new can opener is amazing. Even the metal handle is impressive.
