Lockset makfunctioned but was extremly well made.

After over 35 years installing Kwikset locks I finally found one that malfunctioned. Do not send back to Walmart, call Kwikset troubleshooting line real people are there to help. In less than 5 minutes I have a replacement on the way. Walmart is selling quality locks and Kwikset stands by them. At time I purchased Walmart's price was best. Tavia at Kwikset helped me trouble shoot lockset and was extremely helpful. I have spent 35 years installing machine and equipment all over the world, and Walmart and Kwikset stand by sale and product. Even with a malfunction it goes into autolock and will open with the key, wife locks door even when I go to cut grass.

Works great, easy installation. The installation instructions set a minimum center-to-center distance between the lock hole the hole for the deadbolt. Found I was able to install without an issue with less distance between the lock and a standard deadbolt. About five and a half inches. may need to full distance if you plan on using an electronic deadbolt. Works like a champ but found the door is easily opened from inside by a three and a half year old. There's no way to lock the interior side.
