Built Solid

Well made and cuts copper pipe like butter. Have not tried on steel pipe yet, but should be fine.

Great saw but missing a wrench.

The saw itself is fantastic. It is my first choice for cutting any metal or plastic. It cuts mild steel, water pipe, fencing pipe, PVC and lots more easily. The clamp to hold the material in place is effective simple and quick. It makes doing multiple cuts in a row very quick. The saw is solid and well made. Check out youtube for videos of the saw in action. The only issue with the saw is the chain to hold it down. It seems like an afterthought and is difficult to connect and disconnect. The saw was missing the 8mm hex wrench needed to make angle adjustments. It's a three dollar part. Getting through the phone tree for support was a big challenge and took way too long. The professional side would tell me it is a power tool and send me to Ridgid. They didn't have the model # in their system and would send me back to Ridge. I finally got through to plumbing on the Ridge side and they were able to help me. If you are going to make two different companies or divisions look like one you need to do a better job or just admit they are separate and keep them that way. Like I said it's a fantastic saw!
