This scale does not need a smartphone app in order to acquire information about BMI or bone density. You can calculate the weight of your cat or small dog by standing on it while holding your pet in your arms. The brightness is just right should you want ti weigh yourself in early morning without turning on the light. I like the clear-glass design, and the price is quite affordable.
