I got these because of health conditions. I can't due regular exercise so I use these to keep my arm and legs muscles from weakening. There are 3 different bands that have 3 different resistance levels. I started with the least resistance (pink) and after 2 weeks I went to medium ( yellow). I'm not ready for the (blue) yet but hopefully soon. Ask your Dr. before using as you may have a condition that could be aggravated by use. I use mine while watching TV or listening to an audio book.
