Always look for less expensive foods, but thought will try this one. YES ! It smells and tastes like we used to make sourkraut at home for winter - 2 barrels , kept in root seller. Like it a lot. Also it comes in glass jar, so I can use jar for something else - take off label and use for anything small - buttons, seeds, nails, rice, etc.
