Import-only live archive release from the Jazz great containing a rarely heard performance by Louis Armstrong and His All Stars recorded at Amsterdam's Concertgebouw on January 7, 1959. Satchmo's 1959 European tour would end abruptly on July 18, 1959, after Louis suffered a heart attack in Spoleto, Italy. The 1959 All Stars included well known figures such as trombonist Trummy Young, clarinetist Peanuts Hucko, and pianist Billy Kyle. A rarely heard set from the same tour, recorded in Germany a few days later, has been added here as a bonus. Includes 12-page booklet. Solar.
