Product details
Product DescriptionGary Stadler returns after completing his highly acclaimed Fairy-Trilogy, with new music that radiantly sparkles with enchantment, revealing the essence of his evocative musical style. On this new release,Gary places the focus on the purity of his beautiful piano sound, He artfully combines that with other acoustic instruments such as classical guitar, cello, vocal choirs as well as the lovely Harp artistry of Lisa Lynne. The result is another understated masterpiece of dreamy Celtic-influenced magic. It is no wonder Gary?s music has generated a dedicated base of fans; there is a simple beauty in his music, which comforts the heart and stirs the soul.Review"Gary?s talents for symphonic wizardry have made him one of the new millennium's forerunners in New Age music." --MacKenzie Wilson ~ All Music GuideSince Stadler's first release, Fairy of the Woods, which he did entirely on synthesizers, his work has steadily shifted more and more towards acoustic instrumentation. Now, with Reflections of Faerie, he used almost no synthesizers at all, preferring to work with other musicians on music that comes ever more from the heart. Stadler plays grand piano, cello, harp, bass and more. In addition to Lisa Lynne on Celtic harp, Bruce Lawrence appears on guitar, Dr. Harold Grandstaff Moses on viola, and Sandy Schieffer and Tiffany Snow on background vocals. A truly exquisite album, Reflections of Faerie will be a welcome addition for meditation, massage and traveling to the heart of the world. --Steve Ryals, Syndicated Music ColumnistFrom the ArtistMy first CD, "Fairy of the Woods" was created entirely on synthesizers, with no acoustic instruments used at all. Since that project 8 years ago, I have gradually evolved my style and leaned increasingly toward incorporating more and more "live" instruments in my music, such as Grand Piano, Cello, Harp, String Bass, Acoustic Bass Guitar and others. This leads me up to this CD which was created almost entirely with acoustic instruments, and uses very few synthesized parts. With the help of some wonderful friends lending their magic to this project, It has been a joy to compose and produce "Reflections of Farie".Harold Grandstaff Moses (ASCAP) playing the Viola, Bruce Lawrence on Guitar, Sandy Schieffer and Tiffany Snow for background choirs. I'm responsible for playing the Piano, Cello, Acoustic Bass guitar, String Bass, some Harp, choir vocals, the few electronic keyboard parts, and a lick or two here and there on the 12 string. Everything on this CD was composed, arranged, engineered and mixed by myself with exception of "Elphame" which was composed by Lisa Lynne. Once again my friend Katlyn Breene created the cover and insert artwork using her beautiful talents combined with some of Scott Thom's original airbrush images from my past CD's, and Nate Smith took the photo. Thank you Bryce Kuhlman for authoring the interactive computer section of the CD. Many thanks to Hermaione for bringing to my attention a book called "The Quest of the Golden Stairs" by Arthur Edward Waite, which has been a continuous source of words, imagery and magic to my process of creating this music from the heart of Farie... and without question I must finally mention my friend Joseph Oszuscik for his talented help and excellent workmanship in making my "stock" Yamaha grand piano into a "most wonderful" grand piano...About the ArtistAs a pianist, composer, songwriter and producer, Gary Stadler is a strong influence in the genre of contemporary Celtic music. His last album Fairy Heart Magic featuring new vocalist and composer, Stephannie and Celtic harpist Lisa Lynne (Windham Hill), recently hit the Billboard New Age Top 25 charts. Gary continues tocombine melodic elements of rare world instruments and symphonic wizardry to become one of the best selling composers of Celtic loved music today.Gary Stadler knew at an early age that music would play an important part in his life.
