Makes Cincinnati water drinkable for me!
I moved to Cincinnati a few months ago and still hadn't adjusted to the taste of their water. I researched various options and websites, including Consumer Reports, and finally settled on Aqua Pure. Installation wasn't too difficult, and the water tastes great! Love my new Aqua Pure system!

So glad to be off the bottle
Simple, straight forward install, easy filter replacement (check out supplyhouse.com for the best prices I have found on oem filters) and BETTER quality-than the major player in the bottled water business here in New England. Our supply is the very large surface source for Boston, while generally quite good one has to deal with the chlorination and the intermittent summer algae blooms sort of an 'swampy' aroma-just like the bottled product every now and again. For just over a year now it has been great to be able to go to the faucet and get water with no smell at all-never, ever ! The only negative is that Aqua-Pure offers no upgrade to a premium dispenser/bar faucet/pillar tap or cold water facet- I would gladly pay more, much more for an all stainless or lead free high end faucet -why the Company cheaps out here is a mystery to me. For what it is worth I am a recently retired resi mechanical contractor, business owner, and could have installed any system I wanted . I carefully looked at everything available in the end the DWS1000 is what made the most sense, to me anyway.

So disappointed
Filter has been run for over an hour. I also run it for 5min before each use, just to get rid of the stale water sitting inside the filters. Unfortunately, it still tastes weird. Going to try filtering it through Zero and Brita pitcher filters to see if taste improves, but I shouldn't have to go through this considering how much this filter costs. - Water tastes worse than when it was coming straight from the tap. It tastes like unfiltered tap with an extra weird after taste. - Instructions didn't match the parts. - Needed to find and buy extra fitting to connect filter to my supply line. - Flow is slow compared to the A.O. Smith AO-MF-ADV filter, but got rid of the A.O. Smith because the filters might be made of fiberglass or asbestos. A.O. Smith rep said the filter design was proprietary and refused to confirm or deny the presence of fiberglass or asbestos. I also, sent an email to Aquasana, but never got a response. Aquasana makes the A.O. Smith filters.
