Very attractive box, perhaps not strong enough?

Great dominoes. Wood box is very attractive. However, the wooden box was perhaps a bit weak. When I got it out of the cardboard gift box, prior to giving the set to my friend, I saw the bottom was coming unstuck, the weight inside was pulling the nails out about 1/8". I was able to gently hammer it back in. The nails continued to hold when my friend opened this gift. But I did have to warn my friend that it may come loose again in a more serious manner since I was not able to add any strong glue to the product before hammering the nails back in.
