The multi-drag disk design perfectly combines carbon washers, for stopping power and good drag lockdown, with ceramic washers, for drag consistency and smoothness. The max drag is 18-pounds. The continuous anti-reverse clutch is made from precision stainless steel to withstand bone jarring hooksets without any backward spool movement. There is zero friction thanks to the pinion gear being held in place by two ball bearings, eliminating contact with the spool shaft during casting. Hot Sauce lubrication also helps to lower friction throughout the reel. The one-piece aluminum frame construction is sturdy enough for the most demanding anglers while still remaining lightweight.
